Arts and Crafts Department
Founded in 1988, the department began to enroll students specializing in art design in 1989. Since then, it has offered such majors as decoration art design, environment art design, multimedia art design and cartoon art. The total enrolment is now at 460 students. Of all the majors offered, decoration design oriented to tourism handiwork design is a special major unique in China and has won a good reputation. for its undertaking , it has several times been labeled a key scientific research project in Special Tourism Commodities Development, by the Guangxi Science and Technology Office. The institute has made great efforts to make the decoration design major, a model for all the colleges in the province. The other majors offer unique teachings not offered in the other tourism institutes in China.
The graduates of GIT enjoy a bright future as they enter the job-market, as their skills and knowledge make them highly desirable to many companies. The 21st century holds great new hopes for our institute, we strive to make its uniqueness more and more known and recognized. Many young talents will be trained to join the tourism industry.
